The Blazer is available in three basic trim levels, Base, RS and Premier, with several different equipment packages available on the Base trim. Power for the base model is provided by a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine making 193 hp. An optional 3.6L V6 provides 305 hp and comes standard on the Premium and RS models, though it's also optional on the base model, provided the buyer springs for the correct option package. With either engine, power is sent to the wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. Front wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available and comes standard on any Blazer also equipped with the bigger V6.
The Blazer is available with a ton of options, but even the most basic Blazer comes pretty-well equipped. Standard features include a 6-speaker stereo with an 8-inch color touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming, voice commands, apple CarPlay, Android Auto and SiriusXM satellite radio, 2 USB charging points, automatic door locks, a 4.2-inch screen for the driver, an electronic locking glovebox, keyless entry, a rearview camera, a leather wrapped steering wheel, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and HID headlights.
The Blazer RS gives buyers a bunch of other features, headlined by an improved infotainment system that adds navigation, an audio input jack and an SD card reader. Also standard on the RS include a bigger 8-inch screen in the driver's instrument panel, nicer interior ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 120-volt power outlet, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a built in garage door opener, a powered rear liftgate, 20-inch wheels, as well as a suite of driver assistance and safety programs, such as a blind spot monitoring system and a rear cross traffic alert system.
The top of the line Premier trim comes with a Bose surround sound system with 8-speakers, memory settings for the front seats, heated rear seats, heated and cooled front seats, a powered tilt and telescoping steering column and lots of chrome exterior body accents.

Interesting New Technology
The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is a brand new mid-sized SUV. With its modern, bold styling the Blazer looks extroverted and perhaps just a little bit more expensive than it is. While past versions of the Blazer were always based on a pickup truck or an SUV, this new Blazer feels much more like its own vehicle with styling that more closely resembles the Camaro than any other vehicle in Chevrolet's lineup. That's no accident, the mid-sized SUV segment is a crowded one and Chevrolet is banking on this bold styling to stand out from the rest of its competitors.
The Chevrolet Blazer starts at around $29,000, placing it in the mid-sized SUV segment, but with a lower-than-average starting price. SUVs are by definition expected to be versatile and offer owners with a myriad of uses: hauling stuff, getting to work every day and driving through the woods on a weekend excursion. The Blazer has put an emphasis on this versatility with a clever interior that can be reconfigured, along with a ton of technology aimed at both making occupants more comfortable and at helping owners use the various utility features of the vehicle.
